Trends I’m Loving Right Now

It is no secret that animal print is HUGE right now. Snakeskin, cheetah, leopard, and even cow-print have been dominating prints in fashion for the last couple seasons. My favorite in particular, is leopard print. Not only does it instantly make you look fashionable when added to any out fit, but it’s also classy. I love how chic and sophisticated you can still look while rocking animal print.

Boxy Necklines

Whether it be a short sleeve shirt or a party dress, I love the simplicity of a square neckline. This neckline is so flattering on women and really enhances the beauty of the collar bones. Adding stacked necklaces to the chest not only draws attention to the unique neckline, but also pairs up perfectly with the chic style of any boxy-cut top.

Silks on Top

Not going to lie, when this trend first started to emerge through fashion influencers, I was not the biggest fan. But as it has begun to develop as more acceptable trend in society, I have seen a lot more people styling this trend in a way that I love! Something about a luxurious silk on top of a basic piece, I cannot help but love now. Turtleneck, graphic tees, and sweaters have been my favorite paired under a silk tank on slip dress.

Favorite Outfits of the Week

I hope to make one of these “Favorite Outfits of the Week” post every week. This is a place where I’ll post pictures of some outfits I find on of influences, celebrities, or even friends that have inspired me this week. So let’s get started with my fashion inspirations of this week…

Mixed Neutrals

First outfit is from @maddiecidlik on Instagram. I’ve been loving the turtle neck under a graphic tee trend recently. As people start wearing this combo more, it becomes more wearable to the everyday person and not just fashion-influencers. I love how she incorporated the Gucci bag into this outfit. Something about mixing silvers with golds in an outfit and different shades of neutrals makes me love an outfit even more.

Knit Cardigan

Nothing says winter like knits. I’ve been seeing a lot of “grandma-style” knit cardigans late and I love it. This one in particular, is very simple but the crop really adds a feminine touch. I love how @michelleinfusino, kept the outfit simply and added pop of color with her nail polish.

Star Booties

Not quite an outfit, but would you look at these booties! I’m completely obsessed with buckles on booties right now and the star fabric on these booties make them that much cuter. Although, I couldn’t find these booties online, Steve Madden came out with a similar pair that are unfortunately sold out. Hopefully, these will be restocked soon!

Sporty All-White

I bought some white, chunky Fila’s the other day. Naturally, I immediately went home and started searching and planning outfits. This is one of my favorites I came across! The big chunky sneakers with taller socks adds such a sporty vibe and of course you can never go wrong with wearing an over-sized sweatshirt as a top.

All of it can be found at Urban Outfitters, I’m pretty sure!

hello loves!

Welcome to my blog, a place where I share daily outfits, favorite products, my travel adventures, and more!

I’ve always desired to have a platform for me to express my favorite form of art…. fashion! So here I am to share with you my favorite trends of the season, how I style outfits, clothing-must-haves, and even some beauty and lifestyle related things.

To begin, I guess the “blogger” thing of me to do would be to say a little about myself…

My name is Ella and I’m from a little college town in Indiana. Although nothing is better than mid-western corn fields and the sounds of the raceways every Friday night, a couple years ago I decided to pack up and move south to “Sweet Home Alabama,” to study Fashion Retail at The University of Alabama. This semester, I’ll be continuing my third year of classes in Tuscaloosa and yelling “Roll Tide” for my favorite teams.

When I’m not hitting the books, you might find me doing basic 20 year old girl things like, online shopping for things I never buy, drinking overly sweetened coffee, or binge watching Netflix shows with my friends.

I also spend a lot of my free days traveling to visit my boyfriend (who’s currently in Colorado). You might also catch me road-tripping to see my family in Indiana or cruising down to the beach to visit my momma and her cute coffee shop on the Gulf of Mexico.

I hope you enjoy reading about my life through the lens of a camera and a click of a few keys.

Stay lovely,

Ella Adams
